Insight: Tesla burns cash, loses more than $4000 on every car sold

Apparently this comes in a new trend from Elon Musk to basically build everything around him, starting with his cars, hands-free. In order to release the Model X, Tesla reveals it will be spending about $1.5 billion this year. The company has sold 11,532 cars in second quarter. The company could also sell more stock.
