Instagram bringing multiple account support to Android
We’d probably just install some kind of third-party app and use one with one account and one with the other, assuming Instagram‘s new crackdown on third-party apps accessing its APIs doesn’t mess that up somehow. Version 7.12.0 offers users to option to add a second or even third account to the Instagram app, though finding where to add one is a little tricky. There are also options to sign out of a single account or all accounts at once.
You will add the new accounts by taking a look at the Settings screen and scrolling all the way to the bottom, where you will find the appropriately named “Add Account”, and off you go.
Instagram for Android will soon support multiple accounts, according to a newly discovered beta test version of the popular photo sharing app. The feature shows up in version 7.12.0 of Instagram’s Android release which is available via an APK or Instagram’s official Google Play Store beta tester program. Once that’s done, you’ll be able to see a selector next to the account nickname on the top of your profile page. And while you could use multiple accounts in the past by signing out of one and signing into another, this new feature makes using multiple accounts much, much easier. And surprisingly, it isn’t there on the iOS version of the app yet. The feature appears to be limited to some Android users who are part of Instagram’s beta testing program, at least for now.
