Intelligence agencies working to defeat enemy designs: PM
“The gains in the National Action Plan and operation Zarb-i-Azb, and progress achieved so far will be consolidated through well coordinated and concerted efforts at the federal and provincial levels with the backing of the national resolve”, PM Sharif had said.
Nawaz Sharif said we will have to overcome this ideology because they are the enemy of Pakistan.
He further stated that the terrorists can not shake the resolve of the nation, adding that the government shall not be at peace until the terrorists meet their fate. These people can not see Pakistan making progress and peace in Balochistan.
The Prime Minister said that Pakistan has raised voice against the Indian atrocities against innocent people in the occupied Kashmir at the worldwide fora and through an awareness campaign.
“Making Pakistan a peaceful place is the mission of the entire nation”, Nawaz asserted. However, they staged a walkout during the address of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan when he criticised the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).
Earlier in the day, Mr Sharif chaired a meeting of army and civilian officials including army chief General Raheel Sharif to discuss the security situation after the Quetta bombing. PM Nawaz not only detached himself from the remarks but also made a decision to appreciate the role played by the institutions concerned with maintaining national security in the best manner possible. In 2009-10, there were daily five to six incidents of terrorism and 2000 annually in the country.
He said the mindset behind the Quetta attack was the same one that had targeted Pakistanis in numerous terrorist attacks in the past. Meeting will continue by tomorrow.
