Intex launches 4G-enabled Aqua GenX for Rs 13299
The domestic smartphone makers call this new handset as a premium smartphone to which is now added to its lineup.
The Aqua GenX has a 5.5-inch display panel with 1920 x 1080 pixels (full-HD) resolution and Asahi’s Dragontrail glass protection on top. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, but there is no word on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. It is powered by a 1.3GHz Octa-Core processor (Mediatek MT6753 chipset) combined with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM with an expandable memory of up to 128GB via microSD card. Intex has launched the Aqua GenX on the same day as the much-awaited YU Yuphoria but the GenX doesn’t deserve to be passed over.
However, it comes with a 16 GB of internal storage which can further be expanded up to 128 GB using a microSD card. The device although being priced at Rs 13,299 still comes with a 2GB RAM whereas devices like Coolpad Note 3 offer a much better set of feature at a lesser price tag of Rs 8,999. Other connectivity options include WiFi, Bluetooth.
On connectivity front, the smartphone includes several standard options like 4G LTE, 3G, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, and MicroUSB connectivity. Juicing the device is a non-removable 2850 mAh battery. The Aqua GenX will come in Silver and Champagne colors.
The smartphone sports a 13-megapixel Samsung camera sensor on the rear, along with an LED flash, and a 5-megapixel camera sensor is available on the front.
Commenting on the launch, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Mobile Business Head, Intex Technologies said, “With the massive demand and high usage of smartphones, data consumption has become the most critical aspect for the consumer”. The phone additionally offers features such as Matrabhasha which allows people to communicate in over 21 regional languages. Intex recently launched the Intex Cloud Zest smartphone alongside Intex Aqua Air which are considered to be the low-end devices.
