Intolerance Row: Police Complaint Filed Against Aamir Khan
“I support him (Ilaiyaraaja) that’s what has been my theory of life is”.
“Dear Aamir Khan, did you tell Kiran that you have lived through more worse times in this country but you never thoughs of moving out?”
On being asked about the differential treatment to the martyrs of Army and having a sense of observation on Dadri incident, Aamir said that every act of terror and violence to be condemned with the same philosophy. “There is intolerance everywhere”, Hussain said, adding that Muslims in the country enjoyed equal rights.
“The Snapdeal is a proud Indian company and is focused on building an inclusive Digital India.” it added. While the Congress is rallying behind the actor, finding more ammunition to attack the NDA government, the BJP has claimed that the actor has hurt the sentiments of people of India.
Thats the way to solve problems in India- not by bullying, threatening & abusing! Gandhi said, a view that was shared by CPM leader Sitaram Yechury.
In a quick rebuttal, the BJP said that Rahul Gandhi supporting Aamir’s comment only reeks of a conspiracy to defame the nation.
“We won’t let Aamir leave the country, he is safe. Next time Khan releases a movie, he should announce that the movie is only for tolerant people and that the intolerant ones are not allowed entry in the theatres”.
“A case of treason should be filed against Khan for insulting India and traitors like Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan should leave India”, Sharma said. A complaint has also been registered at a police station in New Delhi against Aamir Khan.
Aamir had earlier voiced his concern that he and his wife were anxious with the alarming rise in “intolerance” in the nation and had considered leaving the country, fearing the fate of their child. That indicates that its there is a sense of growing disquiet apart from alarm, one part is alarmed the another part you feel depressed when you feel low and that sense does exist’. I am sure he said it in a hurry or maybe under influence from others.’ “Tolerance is in the DNA of this country”.
Supporting Khan, the Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, “BJP shud stop silencing voices thro abuses n threats”.
