Investment firm exec, daughter die in Milwaukee plane crash
A single-engine plane caught on fire Wednesday evening at Milwaukee’s Timmerman Airport.
Both were killed. No one else was involved in the accident.
The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration have been informed of the crash and will be conducting investigations into the matter. The plane was reportedly flying low then its right-wing struck the ground before it exploded into flames. Timmerman Airport on Wednesday, according to local news reports.
The investigator, he said, is seeking air traffic control communications, radar data, medical records, information about aircraft’s maintenance history, and the pilot’s flight history, he said.
Dranzik says no one on the ground was injured.
A vigil is scheduled to take place in Shore’s Inspiration Garden at 7 p.m. Thursday.
The head of his daughter’s high school, John Packard, said she would be missed. He said her father was on the school’s board of trustees.
According to a statement from Summit Partners, the Boston investment firm for which Joe Trustey served as chief operating officer, the two were on a college visit tour in the Midwest when the crash occurred. Autopsies for the two victims of the plane crash was conducted on Thursday, according to WGN.
Joe Trustey was a prominent Boston business man, the managing director and COO of Summit Partners, and served on several boards, including the Citi Performing Arts Center.
“He touched everybody he met with his intellect, his sterling character and his engaging sense of humor”, Mannion said.
