IPad Air 3 Coming in March? [Release Date, Specs, Features & Rumors]
iPad Air lovers will no doubt have noticed that, at the end of Apple’s barnstorming iPad Pro announcement, there was a brief mention of the Apple iPad mini 4.
Apple hasn’t confirmed exactly when, but a new report suggests it will be available during the first week of November. The slate’s specs have been revealed after the device was spotted in a benchmark database.
Dimensions: 305.7 x 220.6 x 6.9 mm. It has rounded edges, a thin body a thin bezel around the display.
The new, fully laminated display also features an anti-reflective coating which is meant to increase visibility when it is used outdoors.
The iPad Pro also received a brand new chipset, the 64-bit A9X. The display can be used with Apple’s new stylus, which promises to be more precise than ever. It also has Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Global Positioning System capabilities. It also includes iOS 9 multitasking features, an 8MP iSight camera, Touch ID and four stereo speakers. Listening to Mr. Ranjo talk about the two devices, I can’t help but feel iPad Pro is going to have a major impact on the world of graphic design, animation, and art, regardless of its uses in other applications and disciplines.
Changes can be observed not only in the specs of the iPad Pro, compared with the previous iPad tablet, but also in its accessories. For the time being, the iPad Air 2 is a perfectly capable device, so an update isn’t desperately needed – but if Apple does bring out a new iteration, which is still highly likely, it’s hard to see how Apple will avoid it clashing with the the iPad Pro in a few shape or form. It starts at $799, which should equate to just under £650 judging by the prices of Apple’s other products.
