IPad Air 3 Tipped to Sport 4K Resolution Display, 4GB of RAM
It won’t be the all-new Apple Watch 2, but an update to the existing model, such as new bands, most likely new colors for the Hermes band, a black version of the Milanese Loop, and what the aforementioned source calls a special band made from a new material.
This is reportedly part of Apple’s plans to give its tablet sales a boost, after revealing on Tuesday that iPad sales came in at 16.1 million for the first quarter of fiscal 2016, compared with 21.4 million this time previous year.
Apple opted not to update the iPad Air lineup last September when it debuted the iPad mini 4 and iPad Pro, and a new iPad Air 3 has been rumored for release during the first half of this year, most likely at a March media event.
According to the drawing, Apple iPad Air 3 will have an LED back flash, four-speaker audio setup along with the camera.
While we’re not sure how accurate this leaked design drawing can be, it would be nice if Apple included four speakers on the next-gen iPad Air 3.
And apparently, there’s a report saying that “Apple believes that despite a decline in the tablet market and increased global competition, it still has a dedicated customer base who are looking to upgrade to thin iPads”.
A new iPad Air appears to be on the way. The leaked schematic was primarily brought to attention by a French blog, Nowhereelse which suggests that Apple’s upcoming iPad model would include lesser albeit significant tweaks. Even though it is expected to be an added feature, there is still no word on whether or not the camera will be upgraded from 8 MP of primary camera that iPad Air 2 presently features. Now, here’s the latest round up of rumors about Apple 2016 iPad Air 3’s release date, specs and features.
Apple has recalled the modular plug component used for MacBooks, iPad and iPhones for 12 years due to the risk of shock to owners if the module breaks. Not many, we hope, use the iPad Air for photography, therefore eliminating the need for a flash.
The other two differences in the case show the new iPad Air 3 gaining some of the features of the iPad Pro. A lot of the heft from the display will also be allocated to the larger battery, since 4K displays drain a lot of power so the improved battery could just be to maintain Apple’s 10-hour battery rating for the iPad Air.
