IPhone 6S Sales Hit 13 Million in Three Days
Apple on Monday announced it has sold more than 13 million new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus units just three days after the new iPhone models went on sale last Friday in select countries. This beats last year’s sales record – of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus – where in the company claimed to have sold over 10 million units during the same period post launch.
When the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c debuted, launch sales nearly doubled year-over-year, going from 5 million to 9 million in the opening weekend. He added that customer feedback on the New 3D Touch and Live Photos has been positive.
Indeed, the iPhone 6S has taken the throne from the iPhone 6 Plus and demonstrated that Apple really knows that it’s doing.
However, October 16 has been set for the launch of new iPhones in India, Malaysia and Turkey.
To be mentioned that the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus were released on September 25th in 12 countries, including United Kingdom, US, Australia and China.
The new phones will be sold in the UAE for prices ranging between Dh2,599 and Dh3,799, depending on the storage size.
The new phones also sport a more powerful processor along with upgraded cameras and the ability to capture “Live Photos“.
One of the biggest additions, the 3D touch screen, allows users to press harder on the screen to access extra menus. Its design includes 7000 series aluminum and the strongest glass on any smartphone with rose gold metallic finishes. Besides Apple retail stores, the phones are also available through AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless and additional carriers, and select Apple Authorized Resellers including Best Buy, Target and Walmart.
At the time, an Apple spokesperson said that a “bend in an iPhone is extremely rare” with normal use.
