IPhone 7, Apple Watch: What to expect from Apple on Wednesday
With this, the iPhone 7 can survive underwater at depths up to 1 meter for about 30 minutes. The Apple Watch looks to receive its first upgrade since April 2015.
Apple confirmed Monday that it will have a press event on September 7 – at which it is expected to introduce a new iPhone and the next version of the Apple Watch.
It is unlikely that the tech giant will showcase anything related to the latest MacBooks, though they haven’t been refreshed for a while.
According to a report by business magazine Forbes, the iPhone 7 was the focus of a massive leak from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo right before the smartphone was released. That means United Kingdom iPhone fans will get a first glimpse of the iPhone 7 and its bigger brother at 10am United Kingdom time on September 7.
Ever since the company announced the addition of these new members into the Apple family, the smartphone market has been in a frenzy. What time is the event? The iPhone 7 is expected to be in the spotlight and for good reason too.
“Live streaming uses Apple’s HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) technology”, Apple says on their official site. The iPhone 7 launch is taking place in Cupertino, California, at 10am local time.
Mac users can also watch along online so long as they’re running Safari 6.0.5 or later on OS X 10.8.5 (which is Mountain Lion for those of you who haven’t memorised version numbers).
When And Where Is Apple’s September 2016 Event Happening? Along with that, one of Apple’s Twitter accounts came back to life after five years of dormancy just days shy of the event.
Apple has chose to lo longer be exclusive to the iOS or the Mac platforms. Recently, Apple has made live streaming of its events accessible from Microsoft’s latest Edge browser. The new phones, in terms of design, are going to be incremental updates to the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus. The leak has sparked further speculation that the new Beats accessories will be headphones to go along with Apple’s new iPhone 7. So, Apple will show the final version of iOS 10, which will power the iPhone and the iPad, tvOS 10, macOS Sierra and watchOS 3.
Apple will release both devices in three variants of storage and reports suggest that the base model will be 32GB and the other two will be 128GB and 256GB, most likely having the same price as the current three storage options of the iPhone 6s/6s Plus. More developments are expected in the Force Touch Display as well.
The home button is also undergoing a renovation. And as usual is the case, Apple might bring in some surprising new features.
