IPhone 7 Latest Rumors & Release Date: Apple Unveiling Flagship September 7?
Initially, I did not quite believe that Apple was going to create another set of smartphones that followed basically the same design lines from the iPhone 6 and 6s.
The latest report from Kantar Worldpanel indicates that Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) continues to experience a drop in sales in China, one of its most notable markets. In fact, the numbers have grown to this level just because of the iPhone SE that single-handedly owns 5.1 percent of smartphone sales in the U.S. and 9.2 percent in Europe.
It was a close-run thing, however, with the SE accounting for 9.2% of smartphone sales and the iPhone 6S making up 9.1%. Looking at the picture below, however, you’ll see a bigger difference and will probably become convinced that this is indeed a case for the iPhone 7.
While the feature update comes from a credible source, the news regarding iPhone 7 release date is still unclear.
Windows Phone accounted for just 4.9 per cent of smartphone sales in the United Kingdom during the second quarter, according to Kantar’s numbers, down from 11.3 per cent this time a year ago. In Germany, iOS sales increased for the first time since the third quarter of 2015, up one percentage point to 14.2% of smartphone sales from 13.2% in the June period a year ago.
Apple witnessed a substantial growth in France by grabbing 21 per cent of the market share, but didn’t conjure up the same impressive figures in China, where the device took just 2.5 percent of sales. The upcoming iPhone device will also sport a low-temperature polysilicon (LTPS) panel.
In the United States, combined sales of the iPhone 6S and (larger) iPhone 6S Plus accounted for 15.1% of the smartphone market in the second quarter.
Indeed, the microphone port on the iPhone 6s is made up of only one hole.
It’s also been rumored that iPhone 7 Plus could also feature 3GB of RAM, suggesting that the smartphone could also end up becoming the first ever iPhone to pack this much RAM. Apple may also upgrade RAM among other internal features to improve the performance of the iPhone.
After years of rapid growth, Apple posted a decline in profit in its last two quarterly results, as iPhone sales are crimped by competition from Chinese brands and growing market saturation.
