Irish fans sing lullaby for baby on French train
But their team’s performance in the Euros hasn’t stopped plenty of Irish fans from having a good time in France.
The good-natured stand off before the game against Belgium on Saturday, where Ireland lost 3 – 0, continued for several minutes until fans eventually stood clear to let a tram pass by.
Hoping the baby would drop off to sleep, the lads then shushed the carriage like they were an unruly P2 class.
After handing the child’s parents a tri-colour flag to keep the adorable child warm, the group of Irish fans grew increasingly concerned that the French toddler was wide awake.
It starts with the crowd singing the Frankie Valli lyrics: “You’re just too good to be true, can’t take my eyes off of you” after encountering the blonde girl in the street.
Several fans drop to one knee during the spectacular serenade. Luckily, the woman in question seemed to take being in the middle of the crowd pretty well – and she even gave one lovestruck singer a cute peck on the cheek.
The fan turns around pretending to be embarrassed while the women takes in what is going on around her with a pal.
One viewer commented: “This is brilliant”, while another added: “Such a lovely ending!”
