Is Dallas Still Romo’s Team?
Each season resulting in a playoff appearance. The team needs their defense to play better, as they did against Baltimore, but it remains to be seen if they will do that.
Romo has suffered his share of injuries, playing in just four games last season with a broken collarbone, this after missing 10 games in 2010 with the same injury.
Prescott might not get Dallas to the Super Bowl this year – again, that defense. If Dallas were to part ways with the veteran, they would still have a dead money cap hit of roughly $20 million next season. And while Elliott did find a lane to put the ball in the end zone on an nice 8-yard touchdown run, he missed some opportunities. On Sunday, they had a convincing win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
The only negative on the day for Prescott was a fumble late in the third quarter as the Cowboys were driving for another touchdown.
Another Cincinnati drive, another punt which lead to another Cowboys score.
Rookie Dak Prescott has been impressive in limited action for the Dallas Cowboys, and he’s already earning the respect of his team.
RUN DEFENSE: B The Bengals didn’t get to run it often because the game got out of hand early. The Cowboys do have the luxury of having two-star quarterbacks at this point, but the reality of it all is that there can only be one, ESPN reported. Dallas also forced another turnover in this game, bringing their season total to six in five games. Elliott had his third straight 100-yard game, a first for a Dallas rookie. It marks the first time in National Football League history that there were three punt-return touchdowns of at least 74 yards on the same day. He right before that or right after that (60-yard touchdown), he gave them some tough yards.
“They did a good job of mixing it up”. The other three teams are battling it out for supremacy, but it seems like the surprising Dallas Cowboys may be the top contender right now. It is clear that he can run this offense efficiently, and he has proven he can win games. He had his first turnover on a lost fumble, but he helped guarantee a winning record for Dallas going into the October 30 game against Philadelphia. He’s 36 years old and is owed too much money. They each took turns covering Green on Sunday and each did well.
This creates an awkward situation though, as starter Tony Romo is expected back in a few weeks. I guarantee their play boosts that ranking significantly.
But Jones apparently isn’t one of them.
“It’s an historic place, but once I get there I will be locked in”, Prescott said. He’s one of just three starting quarterbacks not to throw an interception, he’s completing almost 70 percent of his throws and has a full command of the huddle and the offense.
