On the other hand, his Twitter name still reads Sean Diddy Combs. Although Combs-who was charged with four weapons-related charges-was eventually found not guilty, the tragedy left an impact on Combs. As he told MTV at the time, “I’am not doing it as serious as Prince [but] I just want something fresh”.

For what it’s worth, the new name is rather fitting for the Bad Boy Entertainment owner, who topped Forbes’ Richest in Hip-Hop of 2017 list.
