Is My Chemical Romance reuniting for ‘The Black Parade’?
Even after the news earlier today that My Chemical Romance would be releasing an expanded version of “The Black Parade”, complete with unheard demos, there was still a slim chance that there was more to come from MCRX.
The group posted a 34-second video on YouTube Thursday (PHT) showing their insignia waving as in a flag with the piano introduction of their hit “Welcome to the Black Parade” playing in the background.
My Chemical Romance have posted a mysterious video teaser online.
In a report by Entertainment Weekly, the band is scheduled to release a reissue of “The Black Parade” for its 10th anniversary. However, speculation also ran rampant that the band would reunite and tour. After all, The Black Parade was released on October 23, 2006, meaning its 10 year anniversary lands this fall.
My Chemical Romance’s return was teased in a post on their official social media pages.
It is three years since frontman Gerard Way announced they were splitting up.
The band, hailing from New Jersey, formed in 2001 and released four studio albums together, selling millions around the world, plus a singles album Conventional Weapons and a greatest hits album following their split.
My Chemical Romance broke up in 2013 after two years of touring their final album, 2010’s Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys. “Again this was no one’s fault, and it had been quietly in the works, whether we knew it or not, long before any sensationalism, scandal, or rumor”.
“We’ve been able to see and experience things we never imagined possible. It is alive in me, in the guys, and it is alive inside all of you”.
