Is Sonia Gandhi being victimized in National Herald case?

Despite having a substantial majority in the Lok Sabha, Modi needs the support of opposition parties to get the bill through the Rajya Sabha.

A defiant Congress vice-president had yesterday charged the BJP with adopting vendetta politics and vowed to continue questioning the government.

On the flood situation in Tamil Nadu, Gandhi said: “I want to tell the government of Tamil Nadu and the government of India that they need to do a lot more for the people of the state”.
Echoing similar sentiments, Union Parliamentary Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu said that the government had no role to play at all in the National Herald case. “If there is a tax angle, then the tax authorities will ask questions, for which there is a due process”.
Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today said the National Herald case is “one hundred percent political vendetta coming out of PMO”.
The Delhi High Court on Monday dismissed the plea of the Gandhis to quash the summons issued to them by a trial court on Swamy’s complaint regarding the acquisition of National Herald and asked them to appear before trial court on Tuesday.
He said, “This is court’s decision and neither Prime Minister’s office nor our government has said anything to court about the order. By disrupting democracy, the financial web created by the Congress leaders can not be undone”, he added.
