Is Sony Working On Xperia Z5+ With 4K Display?

ViziLeaks on Twitter revealed new images of both the Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Compact.

Sony has been a bit shy about stepping up from 1080p displays for its handsets to quadHD, but it appears the next smartphone in its Xperia Z series will feature a 4K display. That 4K face would be a first for smartphones. Finally, there’s a rumor that the largest phone out of the three could use an extremely sharp 4K display.

Design-wise, UberGizmo added that Sony is so far consistent with the look of its phone models. One thing we can be sure of is that a new Sony Xperia flagship will have a sleek and stylish appearance, and these renders definitely reflect that.

“If one looks closely, the profile data for the screen of the Z5 Plus clearly shows a listing for a screen resolution of 2160 x 3840”, 4K mentioned.

Now that Qualcomm has unveiled the Snapdragon 820, the Japan-based company could begin testing it in its upcoming flagship.

The Z5 Plus’ price has not been announced, but the public is expecting that it will not be cheap.

Sony is expected to reveal its Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Compact phones at IFA from 2 September.
