And Which? urged shoppers to be prepared by registering for alerts from favourite retailers, searching for regular prices ahead of time in order to spot genuine bargains and to be aware that many deals are already available online.
With that being said, a tradition of hitting the stores the day after Thanksgiving has slowly moved into Thanksgiving Day.
Shopping on Black Friday can be a competition, pinning you against every other American who wants to buy cheap stuff now and isn’t afraid to elbow you in the throat for a deal on an iPhone.
Through store traffic data that it acquired, Google has put together information that would be helpful to Black Friday shoppers.
Some recent examples of this change come from REI and Macy’s. Closed between 1 a.m. and 8 a.m. on Black Friday. Walmart is also doing the same, offering all their in-store Black Friday deals online. The message is clear.
As people are preparing for their Thanksgiving feast, shoppers are planning to get the best deals for Black Friday.
“Between Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday, $80 billion will be spent online as well as in stores”, Flickinger told CBS News.

Meanwhile, Target announced that for the first time it will be offering a 15% site-wide discount on Cyber Monday.
Best Buy’s repeat deals were the best, according to the study, at almost 9 percent cheaper than in 2014. Purchases increased 0.1 percent for a second month, while the median forecast of 74 economists in a Bloomberg survey called for a 0.3 percent advance.
