Is this our first look at the Samsung Galaxy S7?
It’s important to remember that all of the information here is relying on a few leaked images of the phone, but things could change between now and the release. This new leak is in the form of a short video and it shows the “Samsung Galaxy S7 Plus” looking a lot like the “Samsung Galaxy S6”, with its sides just a little more rounded. Instead, the Galaxy S7 Plus would be equipped with a regular micro-USB port, although it’s not visible in the available renders. We feel that HTC Sense 7.0 provides more customization options compared to TouchWiz UI, plus the One M9 carries a lighter price tag than the Galaxy S6 Edge, which would be much cheaper as a non-Edge version. We have the proven image of next rival, which seems to Galaxy S7 chassis.
Earlier this week, smartphone accessories maker ITSKINS leaked the design elements of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S7. Some new benchmarks have emerged that puts the Galaxy S7 scores against Apple’s A9 chip used in iPhone 6s and 6s Plus as well as its “next-gen” version, A9X which is used in iPad Pro. In fact, the Samsung Galaxy S7 is under works and is going to release in 2016.
Aside from this feature, the Samsung Galaxy S7 is also believed to have a 5.8-inch curved screen.
This means that the S7 Edge will be a massive device for a smartphone as it already comes close to the size of the Galaxy Mega 2. The grapevine is also saying it might have a 4K screen. The one notable difference is that the home button appears to be more rectangular and squared off at the corners, as well as a tad wider overall. Other rumored generic Galaxy S7 specifications include a choice of Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset and Exynos SoC, depending on the region of release.
If the renders are considered to be true, than the device has standard microSD.
BGR reporting on the patent filing states that it follows a previous trademark that Samsung associated with its BRITECELL camera sensor.
