Is this the next 4-inch iPhone?
The description states: “4-inch iPhone 2016 model design have similar design like iPhone 6s, but smaller”.
For example, the iPhone 6C in the video looks considerably larger than the reported four-inch.
Does this video actually show the iPhone 6c? Nothing in the video shows any sort of perspective, like measurements of the device or side-by-side comparisons with the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6s.
The video was published by MIC Gadget, a Japanese blog that has been reliable in the past, and it allegedly showcases a demo unit that was leaked from a Foxconn factory – where Apple’s devices are assembled.
While many Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) investors are anxious about iPhone sales falling for the first time ever on a year-over-year basis, Credit Suisse analyst Kulbinder Garcha has raised another concern: a possible decline in gross profit margins. Additionally, the design has been rumoured to resemble an iPhone 5s and also an iPhone 6. That being said, there has also been some speculation it may be called the iPhone 7c, so it aligns with Apple’s newest-generation phone lineup coming in the fall. Then again, the person handling the iPhone in the video could have small hands that makes the iPhone look bigger than it is.
Sources have previously claimed that the 4-inch iPhone will be powered by Apple’s A9 processor with 2 GB of RAM, but more recent reports have pegged the device to feature the lower specifications of an A8 processor and 1 GB of RAM instead.
The original iPhone featured a relatively small 3.5-inch display, before the screen size was increased to 4 inches with the release of the iPhone 5 in 2012.
