ISIS link: Three youths held in Nagpur
Authorities claimed the three were rounded-up in the airport once they tried to panel a day flight after coming in Nagpur by Maharashtra Anti-Terrorist Team and Telangana Authorities in a combined procedure.
The Hyderabad police, who kept a tab on these youth, tracked their movement to Nagpur and arrested them with the help of Maharashtra police.
Asked on reports that the trio were planning to join ISIS, the official said, “As per our information, they don’t have any such plans…however, if there is something such in their minds we need to ascertain it”.
On Thursday their family members has lodged missing complaints and later it came to know that they were following ISIS network on social sites and got attracted to the terror group. They have been handed over to Telangana police, who will interrogate them and produce them before a Hyderabad court later on Saturday.
“All three are now being cut back to Hyderabad”. Parrikar said security agencies have been successful in reducing ISIS’s influence. “They are now travelling back to Hyderabad for further investigation”. Police claimed that, the three young men had gone to Nalgonda yesterday, to the home of late Salauddin, a known SIMI activist.
Lately, four youngsters went’missing’ in Mumbai from Malwani lured from the ISIS philosophy.
A year ago, an individual from Kalyan had returned home subsequent to going through around six-months with IS.
