ISIS Threatens to Attack Washington, DC in New Video
ISIS states that those countries that help with or take part in the airstrikes over Syria will suffer the same fate that Paris suffered Friday.
“Al Ghareeb, the Algerian” also warned Europe in the video that more attacks were in the offing.
The threat mentions Washington by name and comes in the form of a video that was released Monday on a site used by ISIS to promote its messages.
Activists say dozens of civilians have been killed in the Russian air campaign in Syria, which Moscow says is aimed at crushing the Islamic State group and other Islamic militants. The gruesome attack appeared to be meticulously planned, but randomly executed.
The same man also said that European nations should expect similar attacks. Yet many residents of the United States agree with Governor’s position.
The video begins with news footage of Friday’s attack in Paris, and addresses what it calls the “crusader campaign” against the terrorist organization.
The man who delivered the message is identified in subtitles as Al Ghareeb the Algerian.
He was seen saying that the terror outfit was heading their way with “booby traps, explosives, and gun silencers” and that they will be unstoppable as they have never been this strong before, the daily said.
The assaults were the worst to take place on French soil since World War II.
Another man in the video, identified as “Al Karrar the Iraqi”, told French President Francois Hollande: “we have made a decision to negotiate with you in the trenches and not in the hotels”.
The global news agency Reuters was first to report this new threat. There is a heavy police presence in Times Square, and U.S. Capitol Police sent a security awareness reminder to congressional offices today.
Overnight, France launched its heaviest air strikes yet on Islamic State’s de-facto capital in Syria. Twelve French aircrafts dropped at least 20 bombs over jihadi training camps during an evening assault.
