ISL opening ceremony: Top Bollywood stars dazzle down south

The opening ceremony of ISL 2015 turned out to be a grand affair. The event saw the coming together of the whole Bachchan family to support actor Abhishek Bachchan’s football team.

The franchises owners of opening day fixture between Atletico de Kolkata and Chennaiyin FC were called on to the stage and introduced by host Arjun Kapoor, following which Aishwarya entered the scene.

Aishwarya is often seen playing the role of a mother to perfection as her daughter accompanies her to most of the events.

Later, Amitabh posted the pictures of his “best family” online and captioned them as, “The company was great – Rajnikant, Sachin and Alia and Arjun and Aishwarya and Abhishek and Shewta my daughter and Jaya. and Mr Mukesh Ambani”.

Alia along with Aishwarya Rai and AR Rahman were among the performers of the night.

Ash was also one of the star performers at this starry event. There was also peppy star Alia Bhatt and businesswoman Nita Ambani, all of whom he considers among the “coolest people” in the country.

In a career spanning over four decades, Bachchan has delivered power packed performances in blockbusters like “Deewar“, “Zanjeer“, “Don“, “Sholay“, “Namak Halal“, “Abhimaan“, “Baghban“, “Black“, “Sarkar” and “Paa” to name a few.
