Islamic State Video: ISIS Militants In Iraq Burn Four Shiite Fighters Alive
ISIS savages suspended four prisoners over fire by their hands and feet and burned them alive. “We offend them as they offend us, and punish them as they punished us”, the masked militant said in the video which did not say where the burning occurred.
The video included a clip said to show a Sunni man suspended over a fire while still alive as pro-government forces look on, and another of famous Shiite fighter Abu Azrael (“Father of the Angel of Death”) slicing a piece of flesh off a burned corpse with a sword.
The men were then forced to watch the Iraqi militia video that was released over the weekend that purported to show an IS fighter being burned alive.
The Islamic State group conquered significant territory in Iraq past year and continues to control much of Iraq, including its second largest city of Mosul.
He said that Shia militias, often with the support of Iran and employed by the Iraqi government, have been committing atrocities “of the same scale as Isis” since 2003.
“It wants to send the message that they are not impressed by Shia cruelties and that despite the Iraqi government’s determination, Isis can act with impunity”. Fighters with the Shiite brigades have been accused of various human rights violations, particularly in areas recaptured from ISIS, by human rights leaders.
In recent weeks, a number of videos have circulated online showing groups opposed to ISIS torturing or killing their fighters, turning the tables on the barbaric jihadi network after months of ruthless killings. “And both have no limits when it comes to torturing and executing their prisoners”.
