Island Harry Potter fans gearing up for new release
The much awaited eighth book of the Harry Potter series is finally going to be sold worldwide to all readers.
Actually it’s a play – divided into two parts – written by Jack Thorne along with John Tiffany, who’s directing the production in London’s West End, with the support, approval and assistance of Rowling herself.
The play picks up 19 years after Harry Potter defeats the evil wizard Lord Voldemort. The play is now on preview in London, and is receiving rave reviews.
More than 25 metropolitan areas in the USA, including Phoenix, will offer special home deliveries between midnight and 2 a.m. on Sunday, July 31. More trivia -same book comes after the 8th book and 5 years after the most recent movie adapted from the book series.
Ready yourself up for an entire night of celebrating Harry Potter.
There will also be a four-hour Harry Potter celebration of the book’s release beginning at 9 p.m. Saturday at Barnes & Noble at New Mexico State University, 1400 E. University Ave.
Don’t miss a chance to win special edition giveaways, share your favorite Harry Potter memory on the Muggle Wall, and enter a sweepstakes for limited edition cover prints of all seven Harry Potter books.
“I just don’t know why it’s a play”, said Hollinger, who got into the series when his mother began reading him the books but eventually started reading them on his own because his mother couldn’t keep up with his pace. She’s still taking pre-orders for those willing to wait. “We’ve all grown up together with Harry and events like book release parties coming up will be us returning to our childhood”, Sims added.
After weeks of anticipation, spoilery leaks and fans freaking out that it won’t be any good, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’s advanced reviews on Tuesday came in at Hamilton levels of rapture, with five stars from many outlets.
When approached by The Stage, the script’s United Kingdom publisher Little, Brown Book Group declined to reveal how many copies it had produced for the first print run. There will also be tickets on sale for only £20 or less to make the show more accessible to every wallet size.
On the other hand, grown-up Potter fan Meg Gilbert would prefer to leave Harry’s post-Hogwarts life to the imagination.
We’ve got to take a very big breath now and get through the weekend. “They want to see what the fuss is about”.
Starting at 11:30 p.m. Saturday there will be plenty for every Potter lover.
“We have a whole bunch of coloring pages and stuff, some activities”, said manager Kaitlyn Veverka.
The store will remain open until every midnight customer has his or her copy.
