Israel Advances Bill To Impose New Restrictions On Foreign-Funded Nonprofits
The Palestinians connect this wave of violence with diminishing hope among Palestinians for a future state, following almost fifty years of Israeli occupation of the West Bank, east Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip territories, home to over five million Palestinians, where they wish to establish a Palestinian state, in accordance with the two-state solution.

B’Tselem, an Israeli human rights group, said “The people who bear the brunt of the [punitive] demolitions are relatives – including women, the elderly, and children – whom Israel does not suspect of involvement in any offense”.
Violence has also been triggered by Muslim anger over stepped-up Israeli visits to Jerusalem’s al Aqsa mosque complex.
Shaked has said she was determined to crack down on those who take foreign money and then criticise Israel, accusing some NGOs of “eroding the legitimacy of Israel to exist as a Jewish and democratic state”. “There is no need to pay global prices for a process that does not have great significance”, a statement from the prime minister’s office said.
