Israel Eyes US Presidential Frontrunners

And here is what an honourable former American president, Jimmy Carter, has to say as he revealed his shocking encounter with cancer last week: “These are the worst prospects for peace between Israel and the Palestinians for years”, adding that he did not think Netanyahu “has any intention” of making any progress towards the goal, the thrust of global efforts for decades for the creation of a separate state for Palestinians alongside Israel. Since Netanyahu and other critics of the president’s Iran nuclear deal have invoked the genocidal threats made by Iran against Israel’s existence, apparently any mention of the Holocaust these days must be accompanied by a disclaimer of some sorts if a public figure wishes to retain their status as a liberal in good standing.
Last week I had the honor and opportunity to discuss the Iran nuclear agreement with Israel’s Consul General, Yaron Sideman, who came to voice his, and represent Israel’s, opposition to the deal.
On Monday, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei took to social media to attack the United States and Israel. Steinitz had been finance minister and was vocal in his concerns about Iran. How quickly could the Iranians restore their program?
“Despite this official rosy assessment, the true relationship between Jews and African-Americans was more accurately defined by conflict engendered in the not- always- healthy association of tenant and landlord, employer and employee or borrower and creditor, since many African-Americans encountered Jews as retailers in their communities”, he noted.
During his visit, Hammond said it would be easier to address areas of disagreement like human rights in Iran once the two countries start uniting on issues like the battle against Islamic State.
The Gulf States have calculated that there is nothing to be gained by publicly defying the Obama administration.
(4) The U.S. will be able to work with Iran more closely against IS in Iraq and al-Qaida in Afghanistan.
In 2012, the BNC was one of several Palestinian human rights and civil society organisations that launched a large global BDS campaign against G4S, the British-Danish private security company that is deeply involved in Israel’s violations of prisoners’ rights and worldwide law. In compensation for the agreement, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are seeking sophisticated arms systems, such as the advanced F35 jet fighter. BDS activists have organized protests, shouted down Israeli and pro-Israel speakers and, most especially, demanded divestment from any association with Israel. Fortunately, David Bromwich is available to offer a cool-eyed look at just what’s behind that version of reality in “Playing the Long Game on Iran” and I’m sure you won’t be shocked to learn that, in the process, one familiar label instantly pops up: neoconservative. However, this is a reckless gamble.
The Bureau highlights in its statement that all the warnings are based on accurate and checked intelligence information and express real threat.
-The deal will free a hundred billion dollars and eventually much more for the Iranian regime to use to bolster Iran’s economy and to supply terror groups around the world.
“It would be also sensible for the Foreign Secretary to persuade Ayatollah Khamenei to stop his repeat call for the destruction of Israel”. It was awful, torturous…and then this is what Iran wants to do now?
On Friday, Israeli diplomats submitted their complaint to each of the countries that are party to the Iran nuclear deal: the United States, Great Britain, France, Germany, China and Russian Federation. In this respect, he is being joined by leaders of other political parties in Israel.
As I have underscored repeatedly, it is imperative that, even as we effectively cut off Iran’s pathways to a nuclear weapon through implementation of the JCPOA, we take steps to ensure we and our allies and partners are more capable than ever to deal with Iran’s destabilizing activities and support for terrorism.
It could be argued that Israel’s prime minister will thrive in a situation where Israel finds itself fighting a lone battle against the nuclear agreement. Whether this strategy is in Israel’s long-term interests is a different matter entirely.
