Israel Military Deploys Hundreds Of Soldiers In Cities

Eight Israelis have died in a series of stabbings, shootings and the stoning of a auto, while 29 Palestinians, including 12 dubbed by Israel as attackers, have been killed.
Israeli authorities have fired tear gas at Palestinian protesters in Bethlehem, with a young boy being injured in the clashes.
Clashes broke out after the funeral, with youths throwing stones and firebombs and Israeli forces responding with tear gas and rubber bullets – a daily occurrence in parts of the occupied West Bank in the past two weeks.
Violence has been partly triggered by Palestinians’ anger over what they see as increased Jewish encroachment on Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa mosque compound, also revered by Jews as the site of two destroyed Jewish temples.
Other cabinet ministers added proposals to bar families of alleged attackers from receiving welfare benefits and to ease restrictions for Israelis to possess firearms.

On Tuesday night, Israel’s security cabinet authorised police to close or surround “centres of friction and incitement” in Jerusalem.
The month of violence reached its deadliest day Tuesday with at least three Israelis killed.
