Israel razes home of Palestinian teen accused of murder: army
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the assault by two gunmen on Wednesday in a trendy shopping and dining market near Israel’s Defence Ministry, but Hamas and other Palestinian militant groups were quick to praise it.
The two attackers were arrested at the scene of the shooting however Tel Aviv has chose to seal the West Bank.
West Bank closures are often imposed ahead of holidays in Israel when there are fears of Palestinian attacks.
The closure of the Occupied Palestinian Territories, which were seized from Jordan and Egypt in the 1967 war, means that those working in Israel or with family there will be unable to travel.
On Friday, the military announced it was closing the West Bank until the end of the Jewish holiday of Shavuot on Sunday due to security concerns, except for “humanitarian and medical” cases and for Palestinians to worship at al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem.
Israel has responded by rescinding 204 work permits of the terrorists’ family members and 83,000 entry permits for Arabs from Judea and Samaria to visit their families and the Temple Mount for their Ramadan period.
Ayrault said the Israel Defense Force’s decision to bar Palestinians from crossing into Israel this weekend “could lead to a risk of escalation”. Israel’s delegation to the United Nations has responded to Hussein’s statement, accusing the United Nations of “cynicism and double standards”, as well as “using the murder of Israelis to attack Israel”.
Spokeswoman Ravina Shamdasani said that Israel had an “obligation” to bring those responsible to account, but said some measures punish “thousands of innocent Palestinians” and could constitute “collective punishment”.
The government also said it was sending two additional battalions – amounting to hundreds more troops – into the occupied West Bank.

Most of the Palestinians killed were carrying out knife, gun or car-ramming attacks against security officials or civilians, according to Israeli authorities.
France has condemned the attack in a popular Tel Aviv nightspot that also wounded five people and was the deadliest in a months-long wave of violence.
