Israel rights groups: Dozens of Palestinian detainees abused
The operation included the demolition of homes belonging to the families of two Palestinians accused of carrying out terror attacks in November.
Israeli officials say such demolitions could deter other Palestinians from launching attacks in a wave of stabbings, shootings and auto rammings that have killed 28 Israelis and a US citizen since October.
The Israeli military said in a statement released on Tuesday that its forces demolished the homes of Raed Khalil Masalmeh in the town of Dura and Mahmoud Harub in village of Dir Smat, both situated near the city of al-Khalil (Hebron).
London Palestine Action, a pro-Palestinian activist group involved in the “Israel Apartheid Week” campaign, put up the posters criticizing Israel’s 2014 military offensive in the Gaza Strip which claimed the lives of over 2,251 Palestinians, mostly civilians, including 551 children, and 66 Israel Defense Forces soldiers.
Tel Aviv is now demolishing 49 Palestinian residences in so-called Area C every week, compared to nine recorded in 2015, the report said. It was not immediately known how many people lived in Masalmeh’s house. Israel says young Palestinians are being incited to violence by their leaders and by Islamist groups calling for Israel’s destruction. The United Nations and most countries regard the Israeli settlements as unlawful. The other opened fire on cars in the West Bank, killing one Israeli, an American student and a Palestinian.

The driver of the vehicle was later arrested by the Israeli army and police, Palestinian news agency Maan quoted Majid Fityani, the mayor of Jericho as saying.
