Medics say Israeli forces clearly aimed to kill the Palestinian youth, as he was shot directly in the head with “dum dum” bullets, which expand upon impact.
Palestinian legislator Khalida Jarrar was sentenced to 15 months in jail on Monday by an Israeli military court in the West Bank, making her the sixth member of the Palestinian Legislative Council now in Israeli detention. This included Honenu, an Israeli settler group that supports the families of Israelis imprisoned for killing Palestinians, and also raised money for Yigal Amir, who assassinated former Israeli PM Yitzhak Rabin. Near-daily Palestinian attacks on Israelis that began in mid-September are showing no signs of relenting.
The left-wing Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine later said that Shahin had been one of its supporters.

Jarrar has been a high profile advocate for using the International Criminal Court to prosecute alleged Israeli war crimes, and she’s been critical of cooperation between Palestinian security forces and Israel.
In a statement released later, the PFLP said that Shahin was a a supporter of the group who was killed “during fierce clashes with Israeli troops who raided the camp to detain young men affiliated to the PFLP”.
