Israeli, Palestinian clashes continue in Bethlehem
In December, Israel’s ministry of military affairs added a compound in the West Bank to the jurisdiction of the Gush Etzion regional council, a grouping of 20 settlements with a population of more than 20,000.
On Thursday night, Israeli troopers shot and killed a young Palestinian woman after she allegedly tried to stab soldiers at a checkpoint in the West Bank village of Beit Einun, five kilometers northeast of al-Khalil (Hebron).
Relationships between Israeli Jews and Palestinians are extremely rare and are frowned upon by large parts of both societies.
The U.S. State Department is condemning an Israeli decision to expand the boundary of an existing West Bank settlement bloc. It will effectively create a 10-acre settlement on the West Bank.
The controversial practice is widely used in the West Bank and resumed in east Jerusalem in November after a five-year hiatus.
In Bethlehem, Palestinian medical sources have reported that several Palestinians have been injured, after Israeli soldiers attacked protesters in Aida refugee camp and also in one of Bethlehem’s main roads near Rachel’s Tomb.
“It is not only my fans that buy Borderlife, it is the fans of Israeli democracy”, Rabinyan said to AFP.
“We will continue to believe that people are first human beings, before the religion or nationality that was either chosen by them or their ancestors”, said the TimeOut editors. Israeli forces or armed civilians have killed at least 139 Palestinians, 89 of whom authorities described as assailants. The rest were killed in clashes with troops.
But, in an interview with Israel’s Channel 2 News, Bennett said: “Do we really need a book that talks about the romance between a Palestinian prisoner and a Jewish woman?”
The Palestinian population weekly protest mainly against the Israeli occupation in a role, the Apartheid Wall, the attacks on Al-Aqsa mosque, the non-return of the Palestinians bodies and the illegal settlements.
