Israeli troops kill 2 Palestinians in West Bank violence
A Spanish court has issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other senior Israeli officials for their role in the 2010 attack on the Freedom Flotilla heading to Gaza, local media reported on Friday.
A few Israeli politicians accused France of ignoring terrorist strikes against Israel and charged that the French were naive to think that Islamist militants would not come after them.
Jamal Lafi, head of the Qalandiya camp’s popular committee, told AFP that “a large force from the Israeli army invaded the camp from all sides after midnight”. Netanyahu said the terrorist is a member of Islamic Jihad.
“Whether in Paris or Hebron, Jerusalem or NY, we must fight a bitter and stubborn struggle against those who massacre innocent people, against those who murder in cold-blood”, Rivlin said.
Netanyahu blasted Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas who condemned the Paris attacks but has not also condemned attacks against Israelis.
Numerous Palestinians killed have been alleged attackers, while others were shot dead during clashes with Israeli forces.
After the troops arrived, hundreds of Palestinians gathered and many threw firebombs and rocks as the Israeli forces demolished the home, and troops fired rubber bullets, tear gas and stun grenades to disperse the protesters, the military said.
In his remarks, Netanyahu used the Paris tragedy to defend his strategy at home.
Residents said soldiers arrived at the camp shortly after midnight to demolish the home of Mohammed Abu Shaheen, 39, a Palestinian in Israeli custody on charges of killing Danny Gonen, 25, near Ramallah in June.

In an op-ed published Sunday, a writer for Al Hayat Al Jadida (the Palestinian Authority organ), pointed to Mossad, Israel’s national intelligence agency, as one of the main perpetrators behind the attacks.
