All of the stars rehearsed backstage for the performance. Moreover, it was all scripted out, according to Jimmy Kimmel. As per Jimmy, “It was acting. Everybody knew it was gonna happen, we rehearsed it backstage, it was scripted out. The idea was that I would force Jennifer into this mini Friends reunion, and she pretended to be annoyed by it.”

In fact, the idea of the entire theme was that Jimmy would force the megastar Jennifer Anitson into the small and close reunion of “Friends”, and she would act as if she is annoyed by this. No wonder, all of them worked out on the script and the acting so well that some of the viewers were caught unaware.

In the scene, the late night host performed Ross, and attempted to compel three women into performing his fan-fiction. Jennifer pretended to be irritated by Jimmy’s request to join the mini reunion. As a result, she walked out on the scene with Cox, aged 50 and Kudrow, aged 51. Kimmel explained that “For some reason, maybe half, if not more, of the people commenting online seemed to think that was real”. He also said, “Well, she was acting — apparently very well, too!” He continued, “She should probably get an Emmy for that acting.”
