It’s ASUS’ Treat For Buyers In India, Launches 4 New ZenFone Smartphone
A couple of those were already demoed by the company at Computex in June, but now we know which market they’re heading to first: India.
The tech giant also announced the release of the ZenFone Max, which will come with a 5,000 mAh battery. The Zenfone 2 Laser is a dual-sim budget smartphone that comes with laser auto-focus. The Selfie will be specifically dedicated for selfie lovers.
Smartphone battery life isn’t always what we want it to be, but this particular criticism couldn’t possibly be levelled at Asus’ latest handset. Unfortunately, ASUS didn’t reveal the resolution or pixel density, though did say that it’s powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 System-on-Chip (SoC). Both the variants also have Corning Glass 4 protection. The announcement that Asus launches ZenFone 2 in India is a pretty important thing for the company. Similarly, users also have an option of picking either the phone with 16GB of internal storage or 32 GB.
Running on Android 5.0 Lollipop, the smartphone packs a 5.5 inch HD display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection, 13MP rear camera with laser Auto Focus for 0.3 second focus time and dual-LED flash and 5 MP front facing camera for selfies. The phone’s price starts from Rs 22,999 and this one will come in 64/128GB storage variants. There are 5-inch, 5.5-inch and 6-inch models of the ZenFone 2 Laser, and all have the 13MP f/2.0 camera on the back with “zero shutter lag”. It’s designed for taking great pictures with the front facing camera.
Asus has dropped a 5,000mAh power plant into the Zenfone Max, and that big battery can do double duty as a powerbank to charge up other devices. The Zenfone 2 Laser supports 3G, Wi-Fi (including 802.11ac), Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and A-GPS.
