It’s Exciting Times For Matthew McConaughey And His Wife Camila Alves

Camila accomplished something huge, and Matthew is so proud of her!
Growing up in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, she visited her aunt in the U.S.at the age of 15, and decided she wanted to move there one day.
Matthew McConaughey’s Brazilian-born wife, Camila Alves, has become an American citizen. Speaking of unimpressed, perhaps the Oscar-winner could have forgone the trucker hat in celebration of his wife’s achievement?
The actor shared a snap on Twitter to show his joy that his wife had finally become a US citizen and the couple are picture with their three children inside a courthouse. Alves proudly acknowledged the moment saying she has much respect and appreciation for this country. “I didn’t speak any English, and I didn’t have any money”. Daughter Vida followed in 2010, along with son Livingston in December 2012!
‘So I knew how to do all of it, but I had never really done it on a daily basis.
“The minute I got off the plane I looked at my mother and said, ‘I don’t think I’m going back, ‘” she said.
Alves and McConaughey met in 2006 and married six years later in Austin, Texas.
She started out working as a maid, but her hard work over the years helped her become a highly successful model. And look, some of it had to do with her putting it on me.
