It’s Official, Floyd Mayweather: “I’m Coming Out of Retirement For Conor McGregor”

It has led to criticism of the lightweight champion McGregor as many feel he should be defending his belt in the UFC, with welterweight champion Tyron Woodley being of the belief that the Irishman is scared to fight real contenders in the company. That might be the least of it unfortunately. If Mayweather can make it look as though McGregor is avoiding the fight rather than simply negotiating for terms that best suit the UFC star, perhaps Mayweather can seize the upper hand in negotiations. “Let’s make it happen”.

Here are Mayweather’s words that he said on Fight Hype, per MMA Fighting. This presents itself as a conundrum to Mayweather and may remain a huge stumbling block for him to make his fight with McGregor a reality from just a mere rumor.

Mayweather is now in the midst of a tour of the United Kingdom and it was during a stop-off in Liverpool that he confirmed his intention to come out of retirement for one fight only. “McGregor is the only one talking to the UFC”.

Now it’s McGregor’s turn to further build up a fight that may never happen.

Indeed, footage of him sparring released previous year failed to inspire confidence, but McGregor has been quoted as saying his next professional fight will be in a square ring rather than an octagon. The last thing Mayweather needs is for this to keep dragging on the way it has.

Mayweather is also insinuating that the reason Conor McGregor can not commit to the fight is because he isn’t the boss of UFC. He wants it under boxing rules.

Mayweather has been sending messages just like this one to McGregor for days already but the UFC champion has yet to respond.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. appears to have had enough.

He said: “The only time my records are going to be broken is by him”.

The venue in it’s short history since opening only past year has already played host to big UFC and boxing fights. They think he’s greedy for money.
