ITV2 agrees deal to broadcast The Ellen Degeneres Show

The UK can now afford to look forward to a whole host of DeGeneres’ usual antics, including her particular penchant for scaring the absolute bejesus out of celebrities.

We can’t wait to see it either…

The British will finally get to experience the intense feels that happen when you’re watching The Ellen DeGeneres show next Monday, when the famed US daytime talk show will begin airing on United Kingdom television.

“#GetElleyOnTheTelly”. The show will be broadcast on ITV2 on weekdays at 1:45pm, starting off with brand new episodes from the current series.

Angela Jain, ITV’s director of digital channels and acquisitions said: “We’re over the moon Ellen DeGeneres is joining ITV2”.

“After what feels like decades of campaigning I’m so excited that my show is on ITV2”.

Under a separate deal, NBC recently secured the show’s future until the 2019-20 season through a hefty renewal order.

Ellen also serves as an executive producer on the programme along with a team of others. Studios in Burbank, The Ellen DeGeneres Show is produced by A Very Good Production and WAD Productions, Inc.in association with Telepictures, an industry-leading and Emmy® Award-winning producer of syndicated programming, and is distributed by Warner Bros.

The Ellen DeGeneres Show first premiered on 8 September 2003.
