(CNN) – Ivanka Trump introduced her father Thursday evening at the Republican National Convention. But as the primaries shifted to New York, Ivanka made a surprise appearance to kick off her father’s campaign in his native state with a spirited introduction at a massive, raucous rally in Bethpage, Long Island.

A Trump Presidency will turn the economy around and restore the great American tradition of giving each new generation hope for brighter opportunities than those of the generation that came before.

“He recognizes real knowledge and skill when he finds it”, she said.

She started a “Donald Trump” chant in the crowd later, saying “This is the moment and Donald Trump is the person to make America great again!” Yet her father screamed into the microphone that we can “not afford to be so politically correct anymore”.

She described his record of hiring women to work for him before similar companies did. “I also know how privileged I am”, she said, carefully maneuvering the topic. I’m sure she has access to the same polling data that we do, which tells us that these issues are hugely popular with voters. “I admire that in him”. “That’s why I’m not a politician”. His image among USA women is strongly negative, with 70 percent of women holding an unfavorable opinion, an April Gallup poll shows.

Ivanka’s Instagram account is a heady mix of adorable pictures of her photogenic children, tips for working mothers and pictures of herself modeling elegant dresses from her affordable high-street range. “I think she’s done very, very well”.

At a millennial town hall in Cleveland, a large group of young Republicans agreed that Ivanka is their favorite member of the Trump family. It may not have been the chicest choice – the bold red outfit she sported earlier in the day made more of an impact – but it was a smart one. She knows her audience so well that within minutes of her leaving the stage, photos of her at the convention were on her homepage with a description and a link: “From the Ivanka Trump collection: Dress coming soon!”

Ivanka Trump promised her father would fight for policies that help working women and single moms everywhere.

This goodwill for Ivanka may prove to be a powerful political weapon for her father.
