Izzy Stradlin: Guns N’ Roses wouldn’t split the loot
So, the world loves Axl Rose again.
Recently, Axl and Duff sat down for their first televised interview since reuniting, and they were asked whether Stradlin might rejoin his bandmates at some point in the future.
Following Guns N’ Roses vocalist Axl Rose’s vague explanation of why the band’s original guitarist Izzy Stradlin is not onstage for the Not in this Lifetime reunion tour, Stradlin has made the scenario perfectly clear. “I don’t really know what to say about Izzy”, Rose said. “It’s just his thing is kind of his thing, whatever that is”, said Rose.
One fan wrote: “Izzy my heart has been broken into a million pieces and I dont think I will ever recover from it”. Stradlin said: “Bullshit. They didn’t want to spit the loot equally”.
The guitarist, real name Jeffrey Dean Isbell, co-wrote numerous band’s most successful songs before leaving in 1991.
“So, let’s take a look through the archives, at the history of Axl without Slash and Duff, and see what he can really do”. “With Izzy, you never know what to expect”.
“Myself, Matt Sorum, Izzy – it didn’t happen as a reunion for us all to join”.
Rose had told a Brazilian TV station on Tuesday, ahead of Guns N’ Roses’ string of South American tour dates, that 54 year old Stradlin just wasn’t up for it, and didn’t go into details except to imply that he was disorganised and unreliable.
