J.K. Rowling defends Serena Williams after Twitter troll’s ‘manly’ jibe
As we’ve seen before, J.K. Rowling is not one to f*** with when it comes to Twitter.
This also marks Williams’ fourth Grand Slam title in a row, not to mention her 21st major overall.
“What an athlete, what a role model, what a woman”, writes the “Harry Potter” author.
“Following the world number one’s success in Saturday’s women’s singles finals, Rowling tweeted: “#SerenaSlam! “You’re an idiot.” And rather than admitting he just got owned, Rob has spent the time since defending his point.
“I was peaceful, feeling really good, maybe a little after that I started thinking about New York”, ESPN quoted Williams as saying.
The online slam began after Rowling, a longtime fan and friend of the California sports legend, posted a series of glowing tweets after Williams captured her sixth Wimbledon win Saturday.
