“Jackass” Star Vincent “Don Vito” Margera Dead At 59
Vincent Margera – the uncle of Bam Margera, who frequently appeared in the Jackass TV show and movies – has passed away at the age of 59. Amy Margera, Bam’s mother and Vincent’s sister-in-law, made the announcement of Margera’s passing. He fell into a coma last month and was in bad shape ever since.
He awoke several days later and felt well enough to speak on the phone, but remained in critical condition as his organs continued to fail, according to TMZ.
As part of his sentence, Margera was forbidden to participate in televised portrayals of the “outrageous and profane” Don Vito character that he created. His appearances were much more frequent on his nephew’s show, “Viva La Bam”, which ran on MTV 2003 to 2006.
This is the second major loss for Bam Margera, as he lost one of his best friends, Ryan Dunn, in a fatal vehicle accident just a few years back. He was known for his incoherent, rambling speech, which earned him his nickname, after Vito Corleone in “The Godfather”.
Our thoughts are with Bam and the Margera family during this time.
