Jadeveon Clowney stormed out of Texans locker room after being ruled inactive
NFL.com reported that Clowney left to deal with a family matter.
The Houston Texans decided that Jadeveon Clowney wasn’t healthy enough to play in Saturday’s AFC Wild Card game. According to a report by ESPN’s Lisa Salters, the second-year player stormed out of NRG Stadium in Houston after being declared inactive for the game. One of Houston’s top defensive threats, Jadaveon Clowney, will not be playing.
Clowney sustained the injury during a 34-6 win over the Titans in Week 16 and did not play in the team’s division-clinching win over the Jaguars in Week 17. He left the stadium but was expected back before kickoff. Before the game began, the Texans made a big move, when they announced that defensive end Jadeveon Clowney would be inactive for the game. He had been listed as questionable this week but was later ruled out after being a limited participant in workouts Thursday and missing practice Wednesday and Friday. Still, he collected 40 tackles, 4.5 sacks and six passes defended.
