Jaguar cuts prices to hit heart of luxury market
Consumers are buying new vehicles at levels not seen in nearly a decade and competition is fierce in the luxury segments. Tata Motors is targeting just that but this time with lower prices. However, global sales of both the brands have more than doubled since the buyout. The 2016 F-Type, now with all-wheel drive and an available manual transmission, is already on sale, with the new pricing ranging from $65,995 to $107,445.
The value proposition of existing products also will improve, the automaker says. One of the main reasons for the decrease in conventional vehicle sales is the substantial growth in the electric vehicles and hybrid sector. The repricing will make “all models significantly more affordable”, he said. Jaguar claims the warranty is the best among luxury cars, and the complimentary maintenance is the longest such offering in the luxury market.
The new Jaguar EliteCare program highlights the automakers recent strategy. He further added that all upcoming 2016 models will be part of Jaguar’s EliteCare program. The new XF starts at $52,895 for the entry-level 35t variant, which comes with a supercharged V-6 good for 340 horsepower.
