Jaguar F-TYPE To Get Even Hotter
Aptly named the 2017 Jaguar F-Type SVR, this insane serving of high-class whoop-ass is slated to make its global debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show on March 1 and will later go on sale sometime during the summer of 2016 for a yet to be disclosed sum. Since then Jaguar has confirmed the hardtop F-Type SVR will be capable of hitting 200 miles per hour.
Dutch auto website Autovisie reported that the brochure distributed initially to German dealers made its way online featuring the F-Type SVR to have 567bhp and top speed of more than 200mph, making it the fastest option from the automaker.
Jaguar didn’t go much further in confirming other details from last week’s leak.
A reader snapped these pics of a very rare Jaguar F-Type Project 7 recently being delivered in South Africa.
Last week a statistics regarding the upcoming F-Type SVR were leaked to the public. The F-Type SVR could also have 516 pound-feet of torque. The new F-Type SVR will be sold alongside the 2017 F-Type Coupé and Convertible range comprising of the F-Type, F-Type S, F-Type British Design Edition and the F-Type R. By comparison, the standard F-Type is priced from £51,760, while the F-Type R AWD, on which the SVR is based, costs from £91,660.
Jaguar’s special vehicle operations have also announced a convertible variant, so enthusiasts can enjoy the magical V8 soundtrack coming from the upgraded titanium exhaust system even more.
According to Jaguar the vehicle was developed to exploit the two-seat aluminum sports car’s full potential.
