Jaguars’ Marks headed to injured reserve, Hurns returns
The Jacksonville Jaguars won’t have defensive tackle Sen’Derrick Marks for the rest of the season. Bradley said Monday that Marks would be getting a second opinion on the injury, which apparently didn’t go as well as wide receiver Allen Hurns’s own visit with doctors this week. Daryl Smith has 81 tackles to lead the Ravens, C.J. Mosely has 56 tackles and three sacks, and Jimmy Smith has 40 tackles and two interceptions. Hurns has never missed a game in his career. Abry Jones would join Roy Miller in the starting line-up and back-end defensive end Tyson Alualu would slide inside for tackle reps. Now you can add a sports hernia to his list of ailments. “I’ve been up there already. It’s something I’ve been going through the whole year”.
The Jaguars (3-6) host Tennessee (2-7) on Thursday night. Hurns, who has a touchdown reception in a franchise-record seven consecutive games, won’t attend a closed walkthrough Monday night.
“There was more uncertainty for last week than this week”, said Hurns, who played through a foot injury against the Ravens. Keenum may be able to give them the spark they need to get back on track and make a run at a playoff spot with a few big plays in the passing game while allowing rookie running back Todd Gurley to shine and carry the offense.
