Jaguars, Titans Unveil ‘Color Rush’ Uniforms For ‘Thursday Night Football
However, their gold and blue uniforms might have you wishing for a holiday do-over.
Christmas came early for the National Football League on Thursday – where the NY Jets and Buffalo Bills were concerned at least.
The Color Rush campaign is created to unite teams and fan bases.
The Jets and Bills kicked off the NFL’s “Color Rush” experiment Thursday night by wearing monochrome uniforms for Rex Ryan’s return to MetLife Stadium. That is a garish shade of gold, and it’s only going to draw more attention to what’s now one of the worst helmets in the NFL.
Titans linebacker Derrick Morgan was among the players who modeled the jerseys recently. The light blue uniforms are similar to ones worn previously by the team, but never in such great detail. The Titans-Jaguars tilt marks the second of the four contests.
The Color Rush uniforms, which were designed by Nike, combine “current and historic uniform uniform colors and designs”, according to a press release by the Buffalo Bills. Both teams wore solid colors on their cleats, socks, pants, jerseys and undershirts.
