Jaguars won’t treat Buccaneers like a normal preseason game
Throughout the Bucs’ two joint practices with the Jaguars, Winston has looked sharp, particularly during Thursday’s two-minute drill when he helped Tampa Bay drive the length of the field and finish with a score. Both teams kept things professional and focused on making each other better.
“It will have an impact”, Bradley said.
Tampa is 1-10 ATS in their last 11 Saturday games, 0-4 ATS in their last four overall, and have played to the OVER in seven of their last 10 on grass while the Jags are 5-2 ATS in their last seven Saturday games, 1-4-1 ATS in their last six overall, and 10-21-1 ATS in their last 32 home games.
The Bucs head into Jacksonville on Saturday looking to shake off a 17-9 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in their first preseason game and a big part of their game plan here is to get their offense rolling that was obviously held in check in week one.
“The practices should be fun”, wide receiver Marqise Lee said.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker spent most of the joint practice with the Jaguars chatting and laughing with former teammates and coaches.
“You want to play at a frenzy”.
Routinely scheduled days off for both Hurns and Robinson will likely continue into the regular season and that’s just fine with Bortles.
“You come into the league and you kind of have something in your head”, said Smith, a second-round draft pick in 2004. Gus does a good job of returning how an important a practice is and we get that, but there’s also times where it’s good to take care of the team and take care of individuals and their body.
“I think he had so many tackles on those fields that his tackle card had been punched”, Bucs coach Dirk Koetter said. “His chippiness, he’s shown me a lot of want-to, a lot of drive to really make things happen”. “We are hoping that it is a really good two days that we work well together and get accomplished”. It is unclear when Martin sustained the injury, but expect the team to keep him on light duty until he is fully healthy.
