Jahlil Okafor had gun pointed at him in October altercation with heckler

Canaan provided an all-around game, tallying 12 points, five rebounds, two assists, one steal, with two blocks, while Covington had a double-double 11 points and 14 rebounds that came along with six steals and two blocks. He’s a great low post presence for the Sixers and is the cornerstone for the franchise. It’s nearly December and they still haven’t won a game yet.
Apparently, the incident stemmed out from the Sixers’ very bad start.
Unfortunately for the Sixers, they again failed to provide an affirming answer despite heading into the final minutes against Boston Celtics on Wednesday in the lead.

The crew at ESPN’s First take brought up and interesting point. As he and his teammates left the club, a source said, the heckler pointed a gun to Okafor’s head outside the establishment. I feel like we’re going to get it done. Okafor probably wouldn’t have reacted like that if he was winning, but a bigger issue arises.
“I’m ashamed with what I did and that’s not who I am”, Okafor said. As has been mentioned before, Okafor is an adult and is responsible for his own behavior, but the Sixers need to address how that activity affects the team’s, and his, well-being as soon as they possibly can.
The whole incident was caught on video, and you can clearly see Okafor taking a swing at one of the guys and knocking him out cold.
Okafor (obviously) should not be going after fans, no matter how obnoxious the fans were being. The Sixers have a vehicle service available for players who want to go out.
Elsewhere on Wednesday, LeBron James scored 24 points to pass another points milestone but it was not enough to prevent the Cleveland Cavaliers tumbling to a 103-99 loss to the Toronto Raptors. Philadelphia 76ers fans deserve better and so does Jahlil Okafor.
