Jahlil Okafor: Philadelphia 76ers rookie involved in altercation after loss to
The 76ers led heading into the final minutes, but were overhauled by a late rally from the Celtics, who scraped home 84-80 as Philadelphia’s miserable campaign continued.
Per Pompey, Philadelphia head coach Brett Brown said the team will do what it can to help Okafor, who is just 19 years old and not legally allowed to drink. “It is hard”, 76ers big man Nerlens Noel said. He had 19 points and 9 rebounds against the Celtics Wednesday. It also mentioned that an unnamed teammate with Okafor was also involved in another physical altercation. Both the 76ers and the league could yet punish Okafor over the altercation. He’s averaging 18.4 points per game and is shooting 48 percent from the field.
Philadelphia has always been searching for a franchise player.
Lance Williams in the team’s director of security. Former Kansas University star Joel Embiid was drafted with the third overall pick in 2014, but he has yet to make it on the floor. However, Okafor will be held to higher standard. The police said they are “actively reviewing” the incident.
“But they are going to have call upon it from time to time”. Now that Emmanuel Mudiay has shown some promise, pairing the guard with a center like Okafor could provide the Denver Nuggets with a foundation for the next decade.
